April Thatch is a peaceful rural thatched cottage set in the quiet and pretty hamlet of Coombe Keynes just a few minutes inland from Lulworth Cove and the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.

It is in an ideal situation to stay for exploring the coast, the Isle of Purbeck and surrounding areas of Dorset.

For walkers there are numerous stunning walks in the area as well as a new path just opened in the last couple of years that gives direct access from April Thatch through Lulworth Castle grounds and the army ranges (when open) to South West Coastal Path, half way between Lulworth Cove and Kimmeridge bay. Read a brief history of the area.

The cottage is grade 2 listed and parts are thought to date back to the 16 hundreds with a thatched roof and some cob walls. It is surrounded by the garden, much wildlife with rolling fields and woods all around.bedroom
Inside is simple with white walls, wooden floors and contemporary paintings. Click here to see more detail.
